As he puts it: “I chose Smart Storage at the time because my initial contact with the team was so friendly and welcoming rather than feeling like a transaction (like literally all the other storage companies). The manager was superb and bubbly in dealing with all my questions. Every time I went to the branch, the team were always welcoming (with me and other customers) and always remembered the last conversation we had.”
A while later, he needed storage for his new business but decided to go with a different company right down the road. In his words, he “regretted the decision to this day. It was not worth it. The guys there were happy to get a sale on board, but the chats soon became superficial. I could tell that their sales were being pushed beyond customer service.
“After all this, I decided to call the team at Altrincham for a quote. They had called me numerous times in the year to see if they could help me with a unit but, as I was in a contract, I could not move. What’s the first thing I was asked? ‘Hi Graeme, how’s the tent business?’

Customer service is everything and the team at Smart absolutely nail it every time. The manager is clearly a great leader for it to run through the veins of the branch team as it does.”
